The new Weather Widget was added in the latest Windows 11 Preview Build 22518
They are trying out showing the Widgets entry point on the left side of your taskbar with live weather content. You can also open the Widgets board by simply hovering over the entry point.
For users who choose to align their taskbar, the Widgets entry point will be to the right of the Task view icon.
All you have to do to remove the new Weather Widget from Windows 11 is right-click on your taskbar and open Taskbar Settings
And in taskbar settings you have to find Widgets and uncheck the slide on the right
